Where do we find the toys we sell.......

As soon as Christmas is over and the decorations have been packed away our thoughts immediately turn to next years must have toys when we travel down to London to attend the annual Toy Fair. Held every January at Olympia its the must go to trade show for every good toy retailer where we get a sneak peek at all the exciting new toy ranges for the coming year from all the major toy manufacturers. With over 260 toy brands exhibiting over 3 days its every big kids dream to visit as we get a chance to see (and play!) with every toy you can think of from traditional wooden toys to super high tech toys.

While we love visiting the stands of brands we already stock such as wooden toy specialist Le Toy Van, Bigjigs, and Melissa & Doug or arts and crafts brands like Galt and Top Model we also really enjoy discovering new brands and toys that we think our customers would like to see. For example this year we found some really great bath bomb and slime making kits that we think will make fantastic birthday party presents.

Here at Dolls & Dragons we specialise in more traditional toys, gifts and games for children meaning the toys we hand pick for our shop are a little different to other larger retailers so now that we’ve seen everything the toy world has to offer our favourite top 10 picks for 2019 are:
